Exotic newbuilding: postponed Aurora V finaly reach Australia

SEA SA SEA SA

56 meter Aurora V has finally reached Australia after months of delay.

The 300 Pax and 85 cars catamaran will service the Wallaroo on Yorke Peninsula and Lucky Bay,  on Eyre Peninsula line (60 Km) in approximately 2 hours.

Cruise speed will thus stand at 16 knots.

The ferry has been built in Indonesia (Strange when you know that the 2 biggest Cat manufacturer are located in Australia) and cost 12M$.

Does anybody know when this was built and who built it, is it brand new or a refurbishment. It looks worn for a new vessel.
